Nick begins college with confidence and determination

Nick finds a community to celebrate a new chapter with

...and to dance with (e.g. Gabby, a special dancer)

Nick was/is pretty awkward. Especially since he was not a dance major until second semester

So he performed in "Company" the musical with the UMass Theatre Guild!

He was able to dance a little on the side

Nick missed dancing daily when he was not a major
Nick was the Emcee in "Cabaret"

He continued to sing and dance and act and be fabulous/creepy in "Cabaret"

He even choreographed a musical!

Tangled: A symbol of Nick's undying relationship with dance, for he was locked away from dance for so long. But love always prevails, as does dance in Nick's world.

Nick became a dance major! He began moving and moving and moving. Improvisation brought insight and new joy
While at UMass, Nick has had the privilege to perform works by prestigious guest choreographers such as...
Merce Cunningham residency, small works set by Bonu Ogan (Fall 2011)

Which performed on the concert stage as well as at various museums as an installation

Camille Brown residency, who set her BESSY award winning "New Second Line" (Fall 2011)

Anna Sokolow residency, "Rooms" excerpts set by Jim May (Fall 2012)

Nick was honored to perform "Rooms" at the 92nd St. Y in NYC (April 2013)

Ohad Naharin residency, "Minus 16" set by Ariel Freedman (Fall 2012)

Nick was the "jumper" aside his good friend and fellow dancer, Bridget Cronin

Nick also performed works by UMass Dance Department Faculty

Nick starred in Tom Vacanti's "Now Sleep the Crimson Petal" (Summer and Fall 2012)

The University Dancers cast also performed at Jacob's Pillow during the summer of 2013

Nick is surrounded by intelligent and talented dance majors
Nick also performed works by his fellow peers
Work by Bridget Cronin

A series of works by Jeff Guglioti

Work by Ellen Saltzman

Work by Brittni Laquidaria

Works by Rebecca Steinberg

Away from UMass...
Nick performed classical ballet as a member of the Pioneer Valley Ballet
Nick was a uni-browed Russian in PVB's Nutcracker

PVB's  'Cinderella'

Sometimes Nick felt pretty out of place when doing story ballets...

... or he's just a silly goose.

PVB's 'Nutcracker' Winter 2012

PVB's 'The Little Mermaid'

Too silly to function

Nick also went on a volunteer trip to Ghana! He was joined by his prom date and best friend, Anna!

Yay friendship!

Nick bathed in huge waterfalls

and meditated by flowing streams

Nick drank and ate some pretty interesting things...

... and danced in the rain with native Ghanaians!

Nick and other volunteers won a volleyball match against the villages police academy! Victory!
Nick went to DISNEY WORLD!
Summer 2012

Nick tilts even at disney world

and poses for the camera.

DIAGON ALLEY! (not disney world, Universal Studios)

HOGWARTS!

Fun.

Nick danced in all sorts of interesting places.
On a skydiving simulator

On a tree

On a Bridget

At a party

With Ellen

On a hill

Behind a structure

And also while flying kites
Nick dances to celebrate the friendships he's made through dance

Beautiful friends

His friends are his inspiration

They keep him centered

Nick is filled with love. He will carry his experience with him for the rest of his life
